Shenango Valley Corvette Club held its first meeting in December 1985. The purpose of the club is to encourage planned trips, events, social and civic activities for its members. The more than 80 members come from all over including Sharon, Hermitage, Sharpsville, dark, Stoneboro, New Castle, New Wilmington, Greenville, and West Middlesex, PA, Brookfield, Masury, Hubbard, Warren, Austintown, Girard, Niles, and Cortland, OH.

The club participates in numerous community parades, cruises, out-of-town shows and social activities. Among these events are the weekly cruises at the Quaker Steak & Lube, Sharon. The club supports fellow car enthusiasts, the Shenango Valley Antique Automobile Association, by sponsoring the Corvette classes during their annual Father's Day Car Show. At the holiday dinner party each year, the club member who accumulates the most miles on his or her car is recognized as well as the presentation of the participation awards.

Shenango Valley Corvette Club donates annually to the Mercer County Children's Aid Society, Hermitage Goodfellows, and the American Cancer Society. In 2002, added to list were American Red Cross Mercer County Chapter and Prince of Peace Center, Farrell.

At this time, the only club-sponsored fundraiser is an Oldies Dance held annually in March with a Chinese auction.
