DESCRIPTION:The Bowtie Nationals featuring the GM Invasion will occur at the Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park\, 1300 State Route 18\, Norwalk\, Ohio. Scheduled for June 6th and 7th\, 2025\, this event will spotlight Chevrolet\, Buick\, Oldsmobile\, Pontiac\, Cadillac\, and GMC vehicles. Attendees can experience drag racing\, a car and truck show\, a swap meet\, and a vendor midway. This event offers an opportunity for automotive enthusiasts to encoun- ter the performance of GM vehicles. \nWe will drive out route 30 on Thursday June 5th to see the show on Friday June 6th. Driving out route 30 will be 4 hours. I need to know how many will go so I can get a motel. One day will keep the costs down. Everyone would be on their own to leave whenever they want to drive home. If taking the turnpike home it would be 3 hours depending where you live. DESCRIPTION:For anyone who was not at the April meeting\, Gary Laughlin has agreed to lead a group to the 19th annual Corvette Gathering in Lancaster\, Ohio in September. \nIt’s a one day cruise on Sept. 8th from 10 am to 3pm. Last year there were over 600 corvettes there. \nWe’ll leave early Saturday morning and get to White Chevy for a sandwich lunch\, then do a country drive or you can go to your motel to check in. Dinner on your own. There is a cheese and drink get together Sat. evening at the Holi- day Inn. We’ll leave about 8 am for the cruise. The cruise fee if $20 and is paid at the cruise. There are restaurants\, food trucks\, a glass museum\, and more in town. You can depart for home whenever you want. \nGary may try to meet up with some of the other clubs from the area for the drive to Lancaster. Be sure to let Gary know if you are planning to attend so he doesn’t leave anyone behind. \nIf you are planning to go\, you may want to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible because the Holiday Inn is already full

SUMMARY:Coolspring Power Museum History Day
DESCRIPTION:History Day \n\nJuly 20\, 2024 \n\nAt Coolspring Power Museum \n\n\nCoolspring Power Museum is hosting “History Day” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be volunteers throughout the museum buildings and grounds to give presentations on the history of many engines in the museum along with the history of the museum itself. They will explain when and where the engines were built and what they were used for. A brief description will be given on how the engines operate and why each manufacturer made his a little different than others. Many engines will be running throughout the day\, with a scheduled start-up for the larger engines. Engineers will explain how they start an engine and answer any questions you might have. History Day will give you the opportunity to have a personal tour of the museum and the freedom to do so at your own pace. Volunteers will be on hand to show you why the Coolspring Power Museum has the finest antique engine collection in the world. \nThe gift shop will be open all day for any souvenirs or apparel you might be interested in. Restroom facilities that are wheelchair accessible are available and there are plenty of benches throughout the grounds for taking a break. A food vendor will be on-site if you wish to purchase lunch or refreshments.  All parking is free. \nAdmission for the event is $12.  Information regarding the event is available by calling the museum at 814-849-6883 or by calling Stewart McKinley at 814-316-1794 between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Eastern Time.  Your admission includes presentations and tours. \n History Day events are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We will drive to Hannibal\, OH to have a picnic lunch which you will need to pack and bring with you and eat there. \nAfter that we will drive the dragon tail and then go to the Greene County Historical Society and Museum in Waynesburg. The cost for the Museum is $5.00 for seniors and $10.00 for adults. Please bring cash so you can pay \nfor you tickets there. Afterwards we will drive to a restaurant for an early dinner that each person will pay for them- selves. SUMMARY:Trip to Scot C's Classic Building
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, October 14th\, Deb and Phil Cassel are planning a trip to Scott C’s Classic Building\, 712 E. Crawford Ave.\, Con- nelsville\, PA 15425. They are planning on arriving there around 9:00 am\, and once they see who is interested in joining them will pick a time and place to meet to leave from. Deb mentioned this at the September meeting but there didn’t seem to be much interest\, but they are hoping to get some members who have decided to join them. They will not be at the October meet- ing\, so if you are interested in the trip\, please let Deb know directly (contact info below). \nShe also plans on stopping at the Laurel Mall Flea Market and then going on to Laurel Caverns. The cost is $17 for adults and $15 for seniors. If at least 15 people go there will be a $2 discount per person. You will need to bring the correct cash to pay for your ticket that day because payment has to be for the entire group. You should also bring a picnic lunch and plan to eat at their pavilion.
