Michigan Corvette Flag Day
Larry Courtney, a Corvette enthusiast from Michigan, is holding an event that entails making a flag with red, white
and blue Corvettes on Flag Day on Belle Isle to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. He plans on
making the biggest Corvette Flag ever, consisting of over 400 cars, the weekend of June 13-14, 2026. Larry has
enough cars signed up to make the flag, but there will be other activities that weekend that anyone can attend, If

There will be two separate ways to sign up for this event. One is for those in the flag and the other will be for those
just attending the event. The Cassel’s will be entering their white Corvette. Cost of the event is $30 per car, and
the proceeds will be donated to selected veterans charities.
Hotel information is Residence Inn by Marriott Detroit Pontiac/Auburn Hills at 3333 Centerpoint Parkway, Pontiac,
Mi 48341. You can call 248-858-8664 to make reservations under booking code “Corvette Flag Day.” Cost is
$129/night for a studio. The rooms under this code have already all been booked as of this writing. However,
when you call you can ask for that code and see if you can still book a room at the same rate.
Larry is setting up some tours/events to do on Saturday and the actual flag set up will be on Sunday on Belle Isle.
