The Spring Corvette Show has been postponed until Saturday, May 12th due to pending inclement (rain) weather expected all day tomorrow.
Hope to see everyone next Saturday, same time and place…
We were all ready to have a great show with our most ever trophies planned at (41)..
The 2018 season beings in spite of the cold weather with our annual visit to Mike Miller’s Antique Collection in Centersville, PA.
This year we had (16) club members plus Deb’s brother Bernie and my grandson Dylan. We didn’t bring our cars of course, not because of the cold but more due the the rough roads getting back to where Mike’s buildings are that houses his collection. Marg, Gary and Bob Whitesides left before we took the picture..
Mike and his family including his daughter Michelle were great again hosting us and we especially enjoyed seeing Mike’s grandkids and seeing how much they have grown. They all seemly are following in Mike’s passion for collecting, steam-engines, cars and machinery of all types!…
The visit wouldn’t be complete without spending time with their dog Pixie who absolutely “loves” to be pet and followed us around looking for attention!
Corvette Club of Western PA (CCWP) was well represented this past weekend at the annual Quaker State & Lube Corvette Show with (17) member cars!
Thanks to our friends at Shenango Valley Corvette Club (SVCC) for putting this show on even though the weather was cold and cloudy for most of the day. The participation and great camaraderie between all attendees “warm” up the proceedings for sure!
CCWP grabbed (4) awards including: Best-of-Class and Best-of-Show by Mike “Iron Mike” Greco with is “Head Turner” C7 Z06 and Brad Paolo won Best-of-Class with his one of a kind 1995 C4 Polo Green corvette. The club (CCWP) won a “Participation” award with the 2nd best number of cars with (17)!… Thanks Bob and Sue Marnell for your hard work as board members for the club..
The Corvette Club of Western Pennsylvania (CCWP) are happy to provide our members and also non-members that just like visiting our website and want to have “FUN” this special BULLETIN BOARD of hand picked events that although not CCWP sponsored are worthy of your consideration…..

Steel Town Corvette Club has been asked to co-ordinate the “65 Years of Corvette” Exhibit at the 2018 “World of Wheels (WOW)” car show Jan.19-21 at the David Lawrence Convention Center. The WOW is featuring the Corvette this year.
If anyone would like to showcase your Corvette, especially C1’s through C5’s. All Generations are welcome to submit their information to Dave Oreski (412) 427-3375 [email protected] or Perry Minnis (412) 420-7290 [email protected] for consideration. Read on for more details on how to participate.
The Exhibit will be sponsored by Colussy Chevrolet, who is the sponsor of Steel Town Corvette Club. 2018 is also Colussy Chevrolet’s 100th anniversary as a dealership. If you would like to display your Corvette send Dave Oreski [email protected] your name, year, color and type of Corvette (jpg pics would be extremely helpful also), and your contact information – phone and email ASAP.
We need to collect all the information requested for your Corvette to be considered. A committee from Steel Town Corvette Club will review the Corvettes submitted and make selections for the Exhibit. We would like to have at least two Corvettes (coupe and convertible) from each generation, C-1 thru C-7, as well as anniversary, pace car, and special editions.
Additionally we would like to have uniquely customized/painted Corvettes, race/drag/competition Corvettes, and special interest or historic Corvettes.
There is a $50 registration fee that includes two weekend passes to the World of Wheels, a large metal display plaque, and judging of your Corvette for trophies and prizes. Please remember that the World of Wheels is in January and the weather might not be the best so you may want to make arrangements to have your Corvette brought to the Convention Center. Once we select your Corvette and layout the Exhibit, we expect you to be responsible for making sure you get your Corvette to the show. If you have any questions please contact Dave Oreski (412) 427-3375 [email protected] or Perry Minnis (412) 420-7290 [email protected].
